Wanapix once again fails to win a prize against Inter JP Financial (2-4)

Jorge Palos' team went into halftime tied at two after a great first half. The visitors' clinical finishing in the second half ultimately decided a match in which Wanapix once again competed on equal terms with one of the league's top teams.

Wanapix suffered a 2-4 defeat against Inter JP Financial at the CDM Siglo XXI, in the fifth round of the Prime Futsal League. The Zaragoza-based team once again put up a strong fight against one of the strongest sides in the First Division, but the visitors' clinical finishing in the second half ultimately decided the match.

The match began with Wanapix determined to take the initiative, attacking from the opening minutes. However, it was Inter who struck first. Toni Escribano put the visitors ahead in the 5th minute, forcing Jorge Palos' side to react.

The response came quickly. Óscar Villanueva equalized in the 8th minute after capitalizing on a pass from Célio Coque and finishing inside the box. The equalizer led to a high-tempo period, with chances at both ends and both teams relentlessly attacking.

Wanapix's persistence paid off in the final stretch of the first half. Xuxu pounced on a rebound inside the area to make it 2-1 and put Zaragoza ahead. It seemed the home side would head into the break with the lead, but Mario Rivillos appeared with just twenty seconds remaining before halftime and leveled the score at 2-2.

After the break, Inter JP Financial stepped up their game and began to take the initiative. Wanapix responded well, staying in the match and looking for opportunities against a high-quality opponent.

The deadlock was broken in the 27th minute when Paniagua scored to make it 2-3 for the Madrid side. Wanapix requested a video review, but the referees reviewed a play that was not the one requested, as can be seen in the television broadcast footage.

The club will file a formal complaint with the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA) and will request the audio recordings of the review, given their dissatisfaction with the refereeing errors that they believe have been repeated in the five matches played, always to the detriment of the Zaragoza team.

With the score against them, Wanapix resumed their search for the visitors' goal. Jackson, once again among the standout players of the match, played a key role in the team's attacking play.

However, one of their actions ended up punishing the home team. After a shot from the Wanapix goalkeeper, Jesús Herrero took advantage of the opportunity to score from his own net and extend the visitors' lead to 2-4.

Jorge Palos' team didn't give up. With the five-man attack, Wanapix tried to close the gap and stay in contention until the end, but they couldn't find the goal that would get them back into the game.

The final 2-4 scoreline left Wanapix without any points on an afternoon where they once again put up a strong fight against one of the top teams in the First Division. The team continues its search for its first win of the season after five matches in which they have competed against all their rivals, but where small details are ultimately making the difference.
