The essential rules
Two parts
Two periods of 20 minutes of effective playing time. The clock stops when the ball is out of play.
Time counts
Four seconds for multiple restarts and for the goalkeeper's control in their half. This does not apply to all situations.
Accumulated absences
From the sixth cumulative round of the period onwards, direct free kicks are executed without barriers according to their procedure. See the specifics for 2026/27.
No offside
Getting ahead of the defense does not imply offside.
Throw-in
It is executed with the foot. The opponent must maintain a distance of five meters.

What's changing this season
First, on home turf
Before crossing the halfway line, the ball must touch another player or the ground in your own half. Failure to comply results in an indirect free kick.
The protests from the bench count
Cards for protesting to substitutes or coaching staff add up to one accumulated card. Reaching six such cards does not, in itself, trigger a penalty kick without a wall.
The penalty does not accumulate
An offense punished with a penalty does not add a foul to the accumulated foul count.
New review assumptions
The review process considers incorrect second yellow cards and fouls from the fifth accumulated foul onward. It does not include every decision, nor does it include missed second yellow cards.
