Fútbol Emotion Zaragoza regrets to announce one of the most painful departures in the club's history. Víctor Tejel, undoubtedly one of the most important players in the club's 33-year history, will not continue with the Aragonese team after deciding not to return next season due to personal, family, and professional reasons. These commitments will prevent him from continuing to play futsal at the highest level, although the winger intends to continue enjoying his great passion on the court. It is a difficult decision that AD Sala 10 understands and respects, as it should be.
The club leaves behind a living legend, and any expression of gratitude will always fall short. He has played in almost 500 official matches, scored more than 150 goals since joining the Aragonese club in 2007 from Bajo Aragón Caspe, and experienced, alongside AD Sala 10 over these 13 seasons, great moments such as the last promotion to the First Division, three playoff appearances, three Spanish Cups (including a semifinal), and two Copa del Rey semifinals—achievements that would not have been possible without Víctor Tejel's participation and impact.
Over the years, he has proven himself a player of undeniable quality, with an admirable attitude and impeccable professionalism. He has been a leader on the court, one of the most frequently used and important players in the systems of all the coaches who have worked with him throughout his time at the club; and also off the court, where he has earned his place as one of the most beloved figures among the entire AD Sala 10 family and the fans. Furthermore, for much of his time at the club, he has been one of the team captains and has brought a touch of Aragonese quality to the club.
The club regrets that the Gelsa winger couldn't have a farewell befitting the player and the person he is, but the difficult circumstances arising from the pandemic and the suspension of the competition prevented Tejel from having the send-off he deserves. In any case, when possible and circumstances allow, Fútbol Emotion Zaragoza will give him the recognition he has so richly earned.
Furthermore, Víctor Tejel will remain loyal to our club and will continue his involvement with the organization, a collaboration that will be formalized soon. Finally, AD Sala 10 would like to reiterate its immense gratitude to the winger for all these years and wish him the very best of luck in his future personal, professional, and sporting endeavors.
